Classic Character with a Contemporary Twist

Classic Character with a Contemporary Twist There is something special about a bathroom that balances timeless detail with modern ease. This design brings that harmony to life -rooted in tradition, but very much made for today. The standout feature is the Lefroy Brooks Classic 1900 Tubular Basin Mixer in polished nickel. Refined and well-proportioned, it brings quiet elegance to the basin. The same thoughtful design carries through to the Lefroy Brooks Classic Concealed Thermostatic Valve and Apron Shower Head, combining classic forms with reliable, everyday performance. Warmth and texture come in with the Campden vanity unit by Vanity Hall in walnut. Beautifully made and practical too, it’s a focal point that adds depth and natural character to the room. The shower is framed by the sleek View 01 screen from The Shower Lab – minimal and refined, it keeps the space feeling light and open while providing definition where needed. To finish, the La Fayette towel warmer by Bard & Brazier in matching polished nickel adds that touch of comfort and cohesion. It’s understated but considered, echoing the tone of the whole space. This is a bathroom with soul – a quiet blend of old and new that doesn’t try too hard, but gets everything just right. start your journey

West London Bathroom Refurbishment

West London Bathroom Refurbishment Full Design & Supply by Kallums Bathrooms Our expert designers at Kallums Bathrooms recently completed a stunning luxury refurbishment in West London, delivering four beautifully coordinated yet individual bathrooms: a downstairs cloakroom, master en suite, family bathroom, and shower room. The brief was clear from the outset. Our clients were drawn to the timeless elegance of natural brushed brass brassware and wanted this finish to flow consistently throughout the home, while still allowing each bathroom to express its own personality. Through thoughtful design, material selection, and detailed planning, we created four refined spaces that feel cohesive, practical, and distinctly luxurious. Downstairs Cloakroom Compact yet impactful, the downstairs cloakroom was designed to make a strong first impression. Vertical timber slatted panelling adds architectural interest and warmth, while the soft green tones introduce depth without overwhelming the space. A sculptural countertop basin is paired with brushed brass wall-mounted taps, instantly elevating the room and reinforcing the luxury feel seen throughout the home. Integrated lighting around the mirror enhances both ambience and usability, ensuring this small space feels considered, stylish, and inviting. This cloakroom perfectly demonstrates how high-quality finishes and strong design choices can transform even the most compact bathroom. Master En Suite The master en suite was the centrepiece of the project and received the most detailed design attention. The goal was to create a calm, spa-like retreat that felt indulgent yet highly functional for everyday use. Large-format marble-effect porcelain tiles bring a sense of scale and luxury, while the black-framed shower screen introduces a contemporary edge. Brushed brass brassware is used consistently across the space, from the rainfall shower and hand shower to the basin taps and controls, tying the room together and adding warmth against the neutral backdrop. A bespoke vanity unit with clean-lined drawers provides generous storage while maintaining a streamlined aesthetic. Backlit mirrors and recessed lighting were carefully planned to enhance the overall atmosphere, offering soft, flattering illumination that adapts seamlessly from morning routines to evening relaxation. The result is a beautifully balanced en suite bathroom that feels timeless, elegant, and effortlessly luxurious – a true private sanctuary within the home. Family Bathroom Designed with both style and practicality in mind, the family bathroom needed to cater to daily use while still reflecting the overall design vision of the house. Deep green wall tiles introduce colour and texture, creating a rich backdrop for the brushed brass fixtures used throughout the space. A freestanding bath becomes the focal point, offering a relaxing bathing experience, while cleverly integrated storage ensures the room remains clutter-free. The combination of durable materials, thoughtful lighting, and refined finishes makes this a family bathroom that works hard without compromising on aesthetics. The Shower Room The shower room completes the project with a clean, contemporary feel. Soft green tiles are used once again to maintain visual continuity, while frameless glass and streamlined fittings keep the space feeling light and open. A walk-in shower with brushed brass controls delivers both style and performance, and discreet niches provide practical storage without disrupting the clean lines of the design. This room is a perfect example of how thoughtful detailing can elevate a functional space into something special. A Cohesive Luxury Bathroom Design This West London project showcases our ability to deliver fully coordinated multi-bathroom refurbishments, balancing consistency with individuality. By using brushed brass as a unifying element and tailoring layouts, materials, and lighting to each space, we created four bathrooms that feel connected yet unique. At Kallums Bathrooms, we specialise in luxury bathroom design and supply, guiding our clients from concept through to completion. If you are planning a bathroom renovation in London or the surrounding areas, our experienced design team would be delighted to help bring your vision to life. start your journey

Two Bathroom Renovation West London

A Two Bathroom Renovation West London Our expert contracts team was commissioned by Green County Developments to deliver a luxury renovation of two bathrooms in West London, transforming tired and outdated spaces into elegant, functional sanctuaries. Bathroom One – Freestanding Bath Sanctuary The first bathroom was reimagined as a refined retreat, with the layout carefully reworked to improve flow and maximise visual impact. A sculptural freestanding bath was positioned as the focal point of the space, creating a strong sense of calm and luxury from the moment you enter. To maintain a clean, uncluttered aesthetic, wall-mounted vanity units and recessed mirrored cabinets were integrated to provide discreet, highly functional storage. Lighting was layered to enhance the atmosphere, combining feature lighting with soft LED accents to create a warm, relaxing glow throughout the room. Material choices brought depth and character to the design. Large-format marble wall tiles were paired with herringbone flooring and handcrafted Zellige tiles, adding texture and a sense of timeless craftsmanship while maintaining a cohesive, elegant palette. Bathroom Two – Intelligent Design for a Challenging Layout The second bathroom presented a more complex spatial challenge, with an awkward first-floor layout requiring thoughtful planning and precision detailing. Our design focused on maximising every inch of space while maintaining a seamless, clutter-free finish. Through careful reconfiguration, we created a bathroom that feels both open and balanced, without compromising on comfort or practicality. Clever storage solutions, refined finishes, and a considered lighting scheme work together to enhance both functionality and ambience. As with the first bathroom, premium products were specified throughout, including pieces from Arteform, IdeaGroup, Victoria + Albert, The Shower Lab, Stone and Ceramic Warehouse, Alice Ceramica, Wet Room Materials, Astro Lighting, and Thermosphere. The result is two distinctly designed bathrooms, each tailored to its space, yet united by a shared sense of understated luxury and intelligent design, leaving our clients absolutely delighted. start your journey Why choose us for your next bathroom renovation? Luxury Bathroom Renovation Chiswick

Luxury Bathroom Renovation Chiswick Are you thinking about a new bathroom design or full renovation in Chiswick? Our expert contracts team at Kallums recently delivered four beautifully designed luxury bathrooms for a residential property in Chiswick, London, offering a fully managed service that included design, supply, and installation. The project involved two cloakrooms, a family bathroom, and a master bathroom, all tailored to the client’s desire for modern, on-trend spaces. While the family bathroom and one cloakroom simply needed a stylish refresh with marble tiles, sleek vanity units, LED lighting, and a walk-in shower, the master bathroom required a complete redesign to improve its inefficient layout and tackle the challenge of sloped ceilings. Our team maximised space by cleverly positioning the toilet and creating a spacious wet room shower area, paired with a freestanding bath under a large window for a relaxing focal point. Elegant touches like brushed brass fittings, a dark grey double vanity unit, and seamless tile finishes added warmth and sophistication throughout. Even the unused ground floor cloakroom was transformed from a storage area into a fully functioning and beautifully finished bathroom. Premium products from trusted brands such as JTP, Waters Baths, IdeaGroup, Flaminia, and Stone & Ceramic Tiles were used across all spaces, ensuring long-lasting quality and style. This project is a perfect example of how a fully managed bathroom renovation service can transform tired spaces into functional, modern sanctuaries. Jack and Jill Bathrooms

Jack and Jill Bathrooms Jack and Jill bathrooms continue to be a popular layout for new bathroom designs, particularly for families, offering convenience as well as style. If you are considering a new family bathroom renovation, this style of bathroom might be perfect for you. Read on to find out exactly what is a Jack and Jill bathroom (also known as a ‘his and hers’ bathroom) and what the benefits are. What is a Jack and Jill bathroom? Whilst not essential, having multiple bathing options such as a bath and a shower enclosure really helps make the bathroom more efficient for everyone. We understand not everyone has space for this in their bathroom, but if possible, we highly recommend in order to get the most benefit from your jack and jill bathroom design. Some people might not like the idea of having to share a bathroom, especially one that can be accessed from multiple rooms! However, we feel there is an easy solution to this for those times you want to relax on your own in the bathroom. Adding a lock to both doors can create privacy when needed! So you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the bath without worrying about being disturbed. Typically, Jack and Jill bathrooms are designed to have two entrances accessible from different rooms within a home – most commonly from two different bedrooms. They also have two separate basins, and if space allows, multiple bathing options such as a bath and shower. This type of bathroom design is great for families, especially when there isn’t space for two separate bathrooms. In our opinion, having two basins in a jack and jill bathroom is an absolute essential. Twin basins are key for convenience so the bathroom can be used by more than one person at a time. Without this, a jack and jill bathroom layout wouldn’t work as well. We often find that twin basins work best when paired with a double vanity unit, providing enough bathroom storage for the whole family. Benefits of Jack and Jill Bathrooms A jack and jill bathroom layout can bring many benefits to a homeowner, especially for a family home! Below we discuss some of the biggest advantages of choosing this style of bathroom design. Jack and Jill Bathrooms save space For many of us, we all understand that space is a luxury – particularly if you live in London! You may not have the space in your home to create more than one bathroom; or perhaps you want to utilise any spare space you have for something else. Creating one family bathroom that’s easily accessible for all is a great space saving option. When a Jack and Jill bathroom layout is created by an expert bathroom designer, the result is a luxurious family bathroom that maximises all available space whilst combining convenience with high-end style. Enjoy convenience with twin basins As briefly mentioned above, jack and jill bathrooms offer exceptional convenience and practicality for families. Having one bathroom that is designed to cater for every family member can make life much easier. For some families, trying to get everyone ready in the morning can be a challenge. Especially when everyone has to take turns in the bathroom! This style of bathroom removes that difficulty. Twin basins mean more than one person can brush their teeth at the same time. Plus, with multiple bathing options such as a bath and a shower – morning routines can be hassle free! Cost effective bathroom design solution  A shared family bathroom can be much more cost effective. The most obvious reason for this is having only one bathroom designed and installed is cheaper than having multiple bathrooms. This also means that as time goes on, you will only have one bathroom to maintain and repair if the issue arises. So, in the long run you save money on maintenance costs but also save time and money by only having one bathroom to clean. Whilst it may only be a small amount, you can also minimise water usage with just the one bathroom! KALLUMS BATHROOMS TOP TIP: Generally, this style of bathroom usually resides between two different bedrooms. Some people see this as a negative, as when you have guests over they must walk through a bedroom to access the bathroom. We have a solution to this! If space allows, the best option is to create a small cloakroom or downstairs toilets. This type of bathroom is one of the cheapest and easiest to create, due to only requiring a handful of products. Plus, it only takes up a small amount of space. Jack & Jill Bathroom Designs Here at Kallums, we’ve created some fantastic Jack and Jill Bathroom designs for our clients! We wanted to share some of our favourite bathroom designs with you to help spark ideas and inspiration for your next bathroom renovation project. One trend we are noticing is that many people are opting for this style of bathroom – just without the shared access! Also known as ‘his and hers’ bathrooms. These stunning designer bathrooms incorporate all the best elements from a jack and jill design, such as twin basins and multiple bathing options, but can only be accessed through one door! This seems increasingly popular for private ensuite bathrooms.
