Great design often comes from understanding how a space will truly be used. In this striking project at Connaught Square, interior designer Suzanne Jarvis of Jarvis Rayes Interior Design Studio created a cloakroom that is both playful and highly functional, centred around a clever concept – the “Pooch Shower.”
Designed for a dog-loving homeowner, the space includes a dedicated shower area where muddy paws can be rinsed after walks, transforming a practical requirement into a beautifully integrated feature. The result is a design-led cloakroom and wet room that perfectly balances style, personality, and everyday usability.
To bring the vision to life, Kallums Bathrooms supplied the bathroom products for this project, working closely with the design team to ensure the specification delivered both exceptional design and reliable performance.
This compact cloakroom proves that smaller spaces can still deliver big design impact. Suzanne Jarvis layered textures, patterns, and sculptural elements to create a visually rich interior.
The patterned shower tiles introduce movement and depth, while the softer wallpaper brings warmth and elegance to the room. Dark matt black brassware provides a contemporary contrast against the lighter palette, tying the space together with a bold architectural edge.
The result is a luxury cloakroom design that feels curated, playful, and distinctly personal.
One of the standout elements of the room is the beautifully crafted Koro wall-mounted basin by Formed, supplied by Kallums Bathrooms. Its sculptural form and ribbed texture create an elegant focal point while remaining perfectly scaled for a cloakroom setting.
The basin is paired with GRAFF M.E. wall-mounted brassware in matt black, introducing a striking contemporary finish that contrasts beautifully against the textured basin and patterned walls. In the shower area, GRAFF thermostatic controls and a wall-mounted hand shower continue the same sleek design language, ensuring visual consistency throughout the room.
To support the Pooch Shower concept, the project incorporates a Unislope wet room system with an integrated linear drain, allowing the patterned tiles to flow seamlessly across the floor while ensuring effective drainage and waterproofing.
The cloakroom also features Isadora rimless wall-hung WC with TECE flush plate, maintaining the clean architectural lines that define the room’s design.
