Working alongside JS Construction Solutions the Kallums contract team provided expert modern bathroom design to help bring this incredible bespoke property to life. Called The Pines, this unique home was designed and built from the ground up, with Kallums designing and supplying four outstanding modern bathrooms for the project.
Our contracts team was recommended for this project by an Architect we had worked with previously, who had been very impressed with all our work. After reviewing architectural plans and initial product suggestions, we began designing and specifying for four bathrooms whilst working alongside contractors, architects, and other trade professionals.
Together, we created a luxurious master bathroom, ensuite, family bathroom and a cloakroom. The homeowners wanted all the bathrooms to have a modern design, including high quality products and a functional yet stylish finish was of the upmost importance.
If we had to pick a favourite from this project, it would have to be the master bathroom!
We adore every aspect of this stunning bathroom – From the layout, high quality products, colour scheme and more. Taking centre stage in this luxurious bathroom design, is of course the freestanding bath. Positioned on a raised platform in front of a large bay window that overlooks the sea. We can’t imagine a more perfect spot for a long, relaxing soak!
The bathroom décor creates a sumptuous, calming ambience with neutral toned tiles. Contrasted with black wall panelling, as well as taps and brassware in a matt black finish.
Matt white ceramics and bath further emphasise this contrast by being paired with the matt black taps.
Two matt white washbowls sit harmoniously on a double vanity unit, offering a stylish storage solution. The wood effect finish of the vanity units adds to the calm, natural ambience whilst adding an earthy feel.
Following suit with the calming, neutral bathroom décor – but for this Family Bathroom we added a splash of colour with a feature wall using blue bathroom tiles!
This feature wall curves around a corner into a secluded alcove, which we utilised to create a private yet open showering space. Once again, we opted for a wet room system instead of a shower tray to keep the bathroom floor tiles flowing harmoniously throughout.
We also created a shelving niche in the wall for some discreet yet stylish shower storage.
Many people feel like they need to make compromises when it comes to a small bathroom, but one thing our team does best is optimising a small space to create an efficient, highly functional bathroom with a luxurious design.
Keeping consistent with the other bathrooms in the properties, we opted for the calming, neutral bathroom décor. Similar to the Family Bathroom, beautiful blue and white tiles were used to make the shower enclosure a stunning focal point.
Once again, we opted for a wet room system instead of a shower tray to keep the bathroom floor tiles flowing seamlessly throughout the space.
As well as a small shelving niche for discreet yet stylish shower storage.
If space allows, we always highly recommend a cloakroom or downstairs toilet to our clients. They don’t take up too much space and are extremely convenient – especially when you have a big family or guests over!
We at Kallums love to unleash the potential of your cloakroom with these ideas that will turn your downstairs toilet into your new favourite space.
Your cloakroom can be a difficult space to style and may be squeezed into a small space under the stairs so can feel dark and forgotten.
As with any bathroom project, consistency is key! Especially with a large family home such as this.
Therefore, we opted for the natural bathroom décor, with a white wall hung toilet and black bathroom accessories.
We also created another shelving niche, great for storage or stylish accessories.
