Bold and Calm: Two Bathrooms Inside a Victorian Home in Herne Hill One Victorian home. Two bathrooms with two completely different personalities. A Victorian home
Exploring new collections, finishes and ideas at one of London’s leading design events.
This week, the Kallums Bathrooms team headed to Focus/26 on Design at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, one of London’s leading interior design events and a chance to discover the latest launches, materials and ideas from across the industry.
A highlight of our visit was joining Samuel Heath for the launch of Octelle, its new Art Deco-inspired brassware collection created in collaboration with renowned interior designer Laura Hammett.
The afternoon introduced the story and craftsmanship behind the collection, followed by a curated wine and cheese pairing with sommelier Janina Doyle. Each pairing was connected to a different Samuel Heath finish, exploring the relationship between colour, character, craftsmanship and flavour.
It was an extraordinary way to experience the collection. Each finish was given its own personality and story, showing just how much the smallest details can influence the way we experience design.
For us, attending events such as Focus/26 is about more than seeing what is new. It is an opportunity to stay close to the wider design world, explore emerging bathroom design trends and discover materials and finishes that could inspire future projects.
We are always looking for new ways to bring personality into the bathrooms we design, while choosing products that will continue to work beautifully for years to come. Taking what we learn at Focus/26 back to our Putney and Guildford showrooms means our designers can share the latest ideas, finishes and possibilities with you, bringing fresh inspiration to every stage of our bathroom design service.
Another inspiring visit and plenty of ideas to bring back with us.
