Focus/26: Where London Design Looks Next

Focus/26 on Design returns to Design Centre Chelsea Harbour from 14–18 September. Here is what has caught our attention and why we will be keeping a close eye on what comes next.

There is something exciting about seeing the design world gather in one place.

From 14–18 September 2026, Focus/26 on Design brings together leading interiors brands, new collections, designers and ideas at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. With more than 140 showrooms, 700 brands and 100+ events, there is plenty to discover. Explore Focus/26 for the full programme.

For us, it is less about seeing everything and more about spotting what is worth paying attention to.

Why We Are Watching Focus/26

The best design events give you more than inspiration. They give you a sense of where the industry is heading.

Focus/26 is particularly interesting because it is where many brands reveal new launches and where designers, makers and industry names come together to share ideas.

That makes it a useful place to look beyond the obvious trends and see what might influence interiors over the coming months.

And naturally, we will be looking at it all through a bathroom lens.

Materials, Finishes and the Details

We will always have an eye out for materials.

Texture. Colour. Stone. Metal. Ceramics. The finishes that can completely change the character of a space.

It is often these details that take a bathroom from simply functional to something with real personality.

Focus/26 features brands that do not exhibit elsewhere in the UK, alongside its programme of showroom events, talks and masterclasses. For us, that means plenty of opportunities to discover something new and bring fresh ideas back into our own design conversations.

What Could Influence Bathroom Design Next?

Not every new product belongs in a bathroom.

That is the interesting part.

We are looking for ideas that have longevity. New ways of using materials. Interesting finishes. Better details. Pieces that bring character without making a space feel overly trend-led.

The wider interiors world often influences bathrooms more than you might expect. A colour that starts appearing in furniture or textiles can soon find its way onto bathroom walls. A new approach to metal finishes can change the way we think about brassware. A shift towards texture can completely alter how we specify tiles and surfaces.

This is why we keep an eye on the bigger design picture.

From Focus/26 to Real Bathrooms

Ultimately, inspiration only matters if you can do something with it.

At Kallums, we take what we see across the design industry and bring it back to the projects we are working on in Putney, Guildford and across London and Surrey.

You can see that approach across our bathroom inspiration and featured case studies, where materials, colour, brassware and sanitaryware come together to create bathrooms that feel personal rather than predictable.

It is also why we enjoy events such as Clerkenwell Design Week and WOW!house. They give us the chance to step outside the showroom, see what is happening across the wider design industry and bring those ideas back to the bathrooms we create.

So, What Will We Be Looking For?

We will be looking for the details.

The finish we have not seen before.
The material combination that just works.
The colour that makes us rethink a scheme.
The piece of craftsmanship that deserves a closer look.

And of course, anything that makes us think:

That would look very good in a bathroom.

If you are ready to start thinking about your own bathroom, explore our bathroom design service or come and see us at our Putney showroom or Guildford showroom.
